The Penguins played another hard fought game in game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. I'm not going to sit here and harp on the officiating thus far in this series, but if they would have called the interference penalty on the first Detroit goal and the slashing/hooking penalty on Hossa right before the second Red Wings goal it would have been a totally different game. It wasn't just in Game 2 either the Pens should have had a penalty shot in game 1 after Zetterberg covered the puck with his hand on Osgood's back. But in all we can't do anything about the past and just move forward, that being said I'm not as nervous this year being 2-games down as I was last year at this time. The Penguins have shown that they are in fact the better team in the first two games, they are just getting beat on "soff" goals.

For those wondering about what may happen to Malkin after his scrum with Zetterberg towards the end of the game, the officials of the NHL have reviewed it and determined that he wasn't instigating anything and won't be suspended for game 3. However I feel that was a big move on Geno's part to show his team and the Red Wings that he is not going to lie down and give up this year.
