The Penguins went into Washington today to finish out an incredible road trip in which they have gone 5-0 and picked up all 10 of the points that were out there. Today's game came right down to the wire after the Pens jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the second period the Caps came storming back in the first minute and a half in the third and tied it up with 2 quick goals. It took a shootout but the Penguins came away with the win and the much needed 2 points in the standings. See the box score here .
