The Penguins rather anemic powerplay came to life last night as Petr Sykora tickled the twine twice on the PP to rack up his 100th powerplay point, Bing tallied 4 assists which brings him to 39 points on the season which is 2 behind Geno who has 41 after his 2 assist performance last night. It was a winger kind of night all goals by the Penguins were from the wings Skora(2), Dupuis, Satan, and Fedotenko.

After the Pens jumped to a 3-0 goal lead it looked as if they shut it down and were ready to go home in the second allowing the 'Canes to jump back into the game by scoring a goal about 11 seconds after Gunn racked up the goal on the powerplay. But they quickly bounced back and scored a goal from Satan about 4 minutes later and only allowed the struggling Hurricanes one more goal on a powerplay from a Godard penalty.

In other news the Pens placed Boucher on IR before the game, and Bing has now taken over the All Star voting and is starting to build a commanding lead no word on how many times Bettman has voted. Malkin is closing in on the 3rd Canadien chump I think we can get both of them starting the game this would probably piss off all those cheaters.
