It is being reported on TSN.ca that the Pens have signed 3rd line center Jordan Staal to a 4-year $16 million contract. The new contract will begin at the end of the current season and run through the 2012-13 season. Staal who was believed to be trade bait in recent weeks appears to be staying put in Pittsburgh for the time being. This season Jordan has 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points through the first half of the season.
