I was over on the Post-Gazette website yesterday and I came across this article about the "Sidney Crosby Line ". Ok I think we all know by now that the signing of Miro Satan was a bad deal being that he has not done much but suck this season. But is it necessary to talk about the lack of quality wingers to play with on a weekly basis I think we got it back in late November early December when the Pens started struggling.
It has been made apparent by Ray Shero that there won't be any big trades at the deadline this year which I totally agree with because that would just be stupid. Why would you want to trade away a player like Ryan Whitney or Kris Letang, I know most of you would like to see Jordan Staal traded away, but who knows how that is developing since the Penguins recently resigned him to a 4 million a year deal. The best bet the Pens have is to wait until the draft when they will get the most bang for their buck in a trade, because making a trade now for the sake of making a trade can lead to even worse down the road say next year.
Just wait it out fans the team will overcome this slump, they are showing signs of life in recent games against some quality opponents, and I honestly believe the Penguins will make the playoffs this year.
